Babydoll Marlborough Pinot Gris 2022

Yealands' flock of Babydoll sheep stand barely two feet tall. Too short to reach the grapes, these pint-sized organic weeders provide year round mowing and pest control, plus a handy dose of fertiliser. Having Babydoll sheep graze in the vineyard cuts down on energy intensive mowing, and helps keep the brand at the forefront of sustainable wine production.

The wine is pretty darn special too. With balanced flavours of pear, nectarine and stone fruits, it's not surprising it just scored 89/100 and Top Value Award by Master of Wine, Bob Campbell. He describes the wine, "Delicately-scented pinot gris with honeysuckle, pear, apple and subtle ginger flavours".
