It was home brewing on Xmas Day 2005, in Perth WA, that inspired the 8 Wired journey.. who eventually brewed their first beer in October 2009.

Since then, they have never looked back, but have gone on to produce a vast range of award winning craft beers that wow taste buds all over the World. In 2011, 8 Wired received the highest brewing honour awarded in New Zealand, as they were crowned Champion Brewery at the Brewers Guild Awards.

A trailblazer when first released in 2009, Hopwired was one of the world’s first IPA's to be brewed exclusively with 100% New Zealand hops. Today it’s as unique as ever, delivering an enticing punchbowl of tropical fruit, citrus and gooseberry flavours balanced by mouth-filling caramel malt sweetness.

At 7.3%, this is a big behemoth of a beer, packed full with flavour & richness. Reduced to clear with BB4 02/08/2020.
