Bay & Barnes Block Riesling 2021

Wow... what a stunning, succulent New Zealand Riesling at a steal of a price!

Bay and Barnes gets its name from two separate vineyard blocks in Marlborough's Wairau Valley. The wine is produced and bottled by Lofthouse Vineyards, which is an Export brand owned and produced by the Giesen Brothers Winery. Bay & Barnes is distributed exclusively through Corney and Barrow in the United Kingdom, one of the longest established Independent British Wine Merchants over 230 years old.

Giesen are renowned for producing exceptional Riesling, and this is a little cracker. The wine has lifted aromas of ripe apple, and mandarin, with floral notes and a hint of spice. The palate exudes ripe, fresh citrus and red apple flavours with a gentle sweetness, and balanced out by crisp acidity.

Perfect with scallops, mussels, smoked salmon and greek salads. At 12.5% abv, this is a must stock for summer and the long warm evenings. Delish!
