Rua Central Otago Pinot Noir 2022

Award-winning Akarua is the largest privately owned single-estate vineyard in Central Otago, with 50 hectares of stunning vineyard.

First planted in 1996 by Sir Clifford Skeggs. The Akarua team are focused on managing the quality of the fruit in the vineyard through to winemaking in their winery; giving them complete control from vineyard through to bottle. Bannockburn, the sub region in Central Otago where Akarua is located has been described as the 'jewel in Central Otago's crown'.

Awarded five trophies and 12 gold medals over the last five vintages, RUA is nothing short of a show-stopper.

This newly released 2022 Central Otago Pinot Noir is lavishly layered with sweet, ripe, red berries, underpinned with savoury characters and a touch of spice. Supple tannins flow softly across the palate. These are balanced by the wines acidity, leading to a long fruit driven finish. 13.5% abv.
