David and Mark Mason, with friend and winemaker Tony Bish, kicked off the legacy of Sacred Hill back in 1986. Family, friends and wine lovers around the world soon became part of the magic.
Produced from 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon from our well established Hawke's bay vineyards, the finished wine was matured in carefully selected French oak barrels for 10 months before filtering and bottling.
This vibrant and plush wine offers an abundance of dark fruits – blackberry confit, Black Doris plum and cassis. These fruit driven aromas are supported by black liquorice, wild fennel, and dark cocoa. The palate is juicy and rich offering berry fruits flowing seamlessly to firm round tannins. 13% ABV.
