3 GENERATIONS CRAFTING PERFECTION. 93/100
The Babich family has been making wine in New Zealand since 1916, making us New Zealand’s most experienced family-owned winery. With no less than three generations of innovation, achievement and winemaking excellence across three outstanding winemaking regions – it’s not just our passion, our livelihoods and our future. It’s our way of life.
Joe Babich favours 'a fuller, riper, softer style of Sauvignon Blanc. It's not a jump out of the glass style, but the wines develop extremely well. The latest releases reflect a rising input of grapes from the company's Cowslip Valley vineyard in the Waihopai Valley, Marlborough, which gives less herbaceous fruit characters than it's other Marlborough vineyards. This smooth wine features strong, ripe flavours of melons and limes, moderate acidity and a rounded, rich finish - great drinkability and well regarded all over the world. 12% ABV.
